Desk Shells

Desk shells are the desk top and its two side panels with nothing attached: no drawers, no return, no hutch. They are the starting point of a desk that is built up from parts, and the way to buy a plain work surface for a room that already has storage. Every desk shell here comes from Offices to Go.

The fixed-height shells come in 48, 60, 66 and 71 inch widths, 24 or 30 inches deep (the 71 inch shell also comes 36 inches deep), plus a 71 inch bow front shell that curves out to 42 inches deep at the center. Each has two black grommets (the holes that pass power and data cables through the top) and comes in five laminate finishes: American Dark Cherry, American Espresso, American Mahogany, Artisan Grey and Autumn Walnut. Silver grommets are optional at an extra charge.

The same tops are also sold as height adjustable desks, in 48, 60 and 71 inch widths with a black or silver electric base. Those raise and lower with a keypad, appear here under the Height Adjustable filter, and have their own category as well.

A desk shell pairs with the separate Offices to Go desk components: hanging or mobile pedestals for drawers, reversible returns and bridges to turn it into an L, and overhead hutches. Buy the shell alone, or choose a pre-configured office if you want the desk, return, pedestals and hutch picked out and priced as one item.

Every desk shell is priced on the site and can be ordered directly: $245 to $385 for the fixed-height shells, $685 to $750 for the height adjustable versions. All of them ship free. Fixed-height shells usually ship within 2-3 business days (guaranteed within 10 business days).
